About us

Me and my husband Paul were looking for a small property close to our daughter who lives with her then fiancé (now husband and baby) nearby, and we were captivated by the cottage the instant we saw it; it was like looking back in time, with many of its original features still evident.  We also found documents and letters from previous owners dating back to 1955, which make wonderful reading. Although it needed a lot of work to rectify poor electrics and plumbing etc, we wanted to retain the look of the cottage we fell in love with and not over modernise it.  Hence its stripped back kitchen, stable door, uneven wall textures, and few knocks and bumps!  We now love coming to stay in it ourselves as often as possible, and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.  Tracy and Paul
